Embark on a challenging journey through Kathmandu's historic streets, ancient temples, and bustling neighborhoods. This AIMS-certified race offers a unique opportunity to experience Nepal's rich culture and heritage while testing your endurance.

Run the classic 42.195 km through a course that begins inside the bustling Pokhara Stadium, and leads you on a journey through both urban charm and natural wonder. Early on, you’ll pass city neighbourhoods still waking up, with local architecture and temples offering glimpses of cultural life. As you leave denser streets, the route opens up to lakeside views, earthy green hillsides that frame Phewa Lake, and skies where mountain peaks are etched sharply against dawn’s light. The mixed road surfaces—some sections smooth, others more rustic—add texture to the run and call for mental toughness as well as physical endurance. As the kilometres accumulate, expect parts of the route with gradual climbs and descents: nothing extreme in steepness, but enough to test pacing and resilience. Particularly in the later stages, as you approach areas around the airport road, the support from communities may thin slightly—but the scenery and the horizon open wider. Finally, the finish at Camping Ground, Phewa Marga offers both relief and reward: runners cross the line with majestic views of the lake, the mountains behind, local cheering still strong, and a palpable sense of achievement. For those who love long-distance running, this is as much a spiritual journey as a race.

Starting from Everest Base Camp, the Full Marathon, the Olympic Style - 42.195 KM ends at Namche Bazar. Each year hundreds of participants run the full category in Tenzing Hillary Everest Marathon. Participants will camp at Everest Base Camp before the race day. The course of the Full Marathon is mostly downhill and is a trekking trail hence caution while running is a must. The trails of the 42.195 km Marathon descend through Gorakshep and head down towards Dingboche where runners will make a loop at Bibre. From there, the tracks will descend to Namche via Kyanjuma. Participants will climb Kala Patthar, a view spot at 5,545 m before the race. Glorious views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other surrounding mountains are visible in a panoramic structure from Kala Patthar.
